Can You Complete A Reverse Advent Calendar?

21st November 2017

Christmas is coming, and with it a host of much loved traditions. This year however, we’re asking you to turn one of these famous customs on its head. Instead of taking sweet treats as part of your advent calendar, why not give food back to the most vulnerable people in our community?

The Reverse Advent Calendar is a popular way of giving to mark the festive season. The concept is simple; on each day of Advent you place a food item, a toiletry product or a donation in a parcel or bag-for-life, which you then donate to the Foodbank at the end of the month!

At Clapham Park Foodbank, we would be incredibly grateful if you completed a reverse advent calendar for us, but finished up on Thursday December 21. Once you’re done, we would love you to drop off your  donation between 10:00am and 12:00pm on December 22. This is so that we can ensure that we are well stocked for our final Foodbank session before Christmas Day.

If you can’t make that date – don’t worry! Please call ahead to arrange a time to drop off your donation after Christmas.

Not sure what we might need? Check out our handy template here. Just print it out and get going! If you want to donate on an ad-hoc basis, check out our shopping list.

We’re incredibly thankful for your continued support – we hope you have a pleasant and restful holiday season.

If you’re in trouble, we can help. Find out how we can support you.
We have new volunteering opportunities available at Clapham Park Foodbank. Can you help?
