Our generous supporters provide vital funds so that we can help local people in crisis.
We are rely on your help to make sure that our Foodbank can run all-year round. Thankfully, the support of the Clapham Park community has been incredible in the past few months. We have been overwhelmed by your generosity, both in our Christmas collections and in the New Year.
We are always pleased to hear from local people who want to support our Foodbank. However, we appreciate that volunteering is not the best option for many in the community. Clapham Foodbank is open only on weekdays (Tuesday and Friday), which means volunteering opportunities clash with the routines of those who are busy throughout a normal working week.
Don’t worry though – there are plenty of ways you can support the Foodbank!
We thought we would share some examples of recent fundraising to give you an idea of the ways in which you can get involved.
A Sponsored Event
Thank you to Richard who is due to do a sponsored bike ride in May – raising valuable funds for the Foodbank. He won’t be doing it alone though. In fact, he has roped in 22 people to ride with him! If you want to find out more about Richard’s hard work, read our interview with him in our forthcoming newsletter – due to be published June.
A Sports Club’s Support
Thank you to Balham Foxes FC, who have raised £440 through their regular refreshment stall at training and on match-days. We are always overwhelmed by the support we receive from local sports clubs. Thank you also to Clapham Chasers AC, who recently clubbed together to offer us a generous donation.
A final thank you to our generous corporate supporters who help us in various ways throughout the year. Corporate support is of great benefit to us, whether it be in sharing of knowledge and expertise, or through financial help. To this end, we would like to thank The Premier League and CNG Business for their recent donations. We would also like to thank our long-time partners Metropolitan Housing for their continued support. If you would like to explore a corporate partnership with us, you can find out more here.
Foodbank use has increased since the start of 2018. And, as we move towards a busy summer, we need your support more than ever. Please contact us if you are interested in fundraising.
